New Arrest Made in Lisa Dorrian Murder Investigation

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have made a further arrest in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and murder of Lisa Dorrian.

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Millisle yesterday, Wednesday 4 March, on suspicion of assisting offenders and withholding information. He remains in custody at this time.

The arrest follows the 21st anniversary of the 25-year-old's disappearance. Lisa was last seen at a caravan park in Ballyhalbert on 28 February 2005. Despite extensive searches over two decades, her body has never been found.

Detective Chief Inspector Kerrie Foreman said: "The arrest comes days after the 21st anniversary of Lisa's disappearance and murder. It's been 21 long and painful years for Lisa's loving family. They have never given up their search for answers and justice and, likewise, our determination remains steadfast."

This development follows the arrests of a 40-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man on 25 February. Those individuals, who were questioned on suspicion of murder and other offences, have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
