Man Arrested And Vehicle Seized In Claudy Investigation

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Serious Crime Branch conducted a targeted operation in the early hours of Tuesday, 13 January.

The activity is linked to a continuing investigation into paramilitary activity in the L'Derry area.

During the operation, officers carried out a search of a residential property in Claudy. A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and a vehicle was seized by police to assist with their enquiries.

The individual was taken into custody for questioning but has since been released on bail. This release will allow detectives to conduct further enquiries as the investigation progresses.

Police have confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

Three People Arrested Over Criminal Activity Linked To The UVF
Three people have been arrested as part of ongoing investigations into criminal activity linked to the UVF in north Belfast. The PSNI's Criminal Investigation branch carried out a total of seven searches on Monday, 11 September. A man and woman were detained in Newtownabbey and a 56-year-old man was arrested in north Belfast.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Disappearance Of Damien Heagney
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.
