Man Charged With Murder Following Coleraine Investigation

PSNI Detectives investigating the murder of Wayne Reid in Coleraine have charged a 33-year-old man.

The individual has been charged with murder and is expected to appear before Coleraine Magistrate’s Court today, Monday 19 January.

As is standard legal procedure, the charges will be subject to a review by the Public Prosecution Service.

The investigation remains active, with six other individuals currently in custody. This group consists of a 41-year-old man and five women, whose ages range from 19 to 45. Police have confirmed that these individuals are still being questioned as part of the ongoing enquiries into the death of Mr Reid.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

Man Charged Following Death Of Man In Coleraine
A 25-year-old man has been charged with Grievious Bodily Harm (GBH) following the death of a man in Coleraine. A 56-year-old man was found dead in the Silverthorn Avenue area on Tuesday, 13 November. The suspect has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to copmmit an indictable offence.

Police Appeal For Missing Coleraine Man Andrew Smith
Police are appealing for information to trace missing Coleraine man Andrew Smith. Mr Smith, 28, was last seen in the Ballysally area at around midnight. He is believed to have been driving a white Ford Focus. A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are keen to establish Andrew's whereabouts and that he is safe and well. Police can be contacted on 101.

Portrush Stab Accused Faces Attempted Murder Charge
An attempted murder charge has followed a serious incident in Portrush when a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after being attacked. He was stabbed a number of times during the incident in the Crocknamack Street area on Saturday night.
