Executive Must Stay Focused On Public Services

Sinn Féin MLA Pat Sheehan said Executive parties should remain focused on delivering high-quality public services.

The West Belfast MLA was speaking during an Assembly motion reviewing the Executive's performance since its restoration in February 2024.

"Working in a mandatory four-party coalition is not easy, but Sinn Féin is determined to do all it can to work together with other parties and deliver for communities," said Mr Sheehan.

"Since its restoration, the Executive has prioritised what matters most, including paying workers a fair wage, investing in public services, cutting waiting lists and making progress on regional balance.

"Despite this, there is much more to do, including agreeing a multi-year budget, delivering on Programme for Government commitments and fighting against British government cuts.

"Sinn Féin is committed to making progress and delivering good-quality public services for all."
