Investigation Launches After North Belfast Stabbing

Police are seeking information and video footage following a stabbing incident in north Belfast during the early hours of Wednesday, 21 January.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland were alerted to the attack shortly after 5am. Detective Sergeant Long confirmed the details of the emergency response: "We received a report at around 5.10am on Wednesday, 21st January that a man in the Woodland Avenue area had been stabbed in the abdomen."

Members of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene alongside police officers. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital to receive medical attention for his wounds.

The investigation into the assault is currently ongoing. To assist with their enquiries, detectives are asking for anyone who may have been in the vicinity or who possesses relevant digital evidence to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Long added: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with any information, including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage, to contact detectives on the 101 number, quoting reference 136 of 21/01/26. Two men die in separate stabbing incidents
Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.

Security Alert Ends At Cavehill
A security alert at Cavehill in the Antrim Road area of north Belfast has now ended. Detective Inspector Michael McDonnell provided details of the incident: "At approximately 5.40pm on Tuesday 22nd April, police received a report that a suspicious object had been located in the area close to Belfast Castle.

Man Named As Victim In Dungannon Murder Investigation
etectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have named the man who died in Dungannon as 71-year-old Adam Krzan. Mr Krzan's body was discovered in a flat in the Corrainey Park area of the town on Thursday evening, 27th February, prompting a murder investigation.

Man Arrested Following Two Stabbing Incidents In Belfast
A 27-year-old man has been arrested following two stabbing incidents in Belfast city centre. The injuries to both victims are not believed to be life-threatening. Inspector Donna McGrady said police were alerted at about 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.

Man Released On Bail Over College Stabbing Incident
A man, 20, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a college in Belfast has been released on bail. Police said the man was released pending further enquiries. A 26-year-old is currently in hospital following the incident at Belfast Metropolitan College on Thursday. His condition is described as serious but stable.
