Cash Stolen During North Belfast Residential Burglary

Detectives in North Belfast are investigating a burglary that took place at a residential property on Tuesday, 27th January.

The incident occurred in the Hogarth Street area while the house was empty. It is understood that entry was forced through a rear window at some point between 6.45pm and 9pm. During the course of the break-in, a sum of money was taken from the premises.

Detective Sergeant Faulkner stated: "We believe that the burglary, in the Hogarth Street area, occurred between 6.45pm and 9pm, when the house was unoccupied."

The Detective Sergeant further explained: "Entry was gained through a window at the rear of the property, and a sum of cash was stolen."

Police enquiries into the theft are currently ongoing. Investigating officers have asked for the public's assistance and are specifically requesting that residents in the vicinity review their doorbell cameras or private CCTV systems for any unusual activity during the timeframe in question.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1823 27/01/26," added Detective Sergeant Faulkner. "We would also ask local residents to check their CCTV or doorbell footage."

An investigation has been launched following a shooting incident in a residential area of North Belfast. According to a report by Belfast Live, at about 9pm four shots were fired in the Tyndale area of Ballysillan. It is understood that a number of children were playing nearby at the time. Couple Robbed At Knifepoint
Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Belfast. The incident happened in the Cavendish area on Monday evening. At around 9pm, police said that four masked men entered the property in the west of the city. A man and woman, both believed to be in their 20s, were at home at the time.
