Detectives Investigate Double Burglary in Enniskillen
Police in Enniskillen are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in the Castlecoole Road area.
The incidents occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday, 8 February, and 7am on Monday, 9 February. According to reports, an intruder gained entry to two separate properties during this timeframe, with a sum of cash being stolen from both locations.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the vicinity or who may have captured relevant footage on CCTV or doorbell cameras. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting reference 491 09/02/26. Alternatively, information can be provided through the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
In light of these incidents, the PSNI is encouraging residents to review their home security measures. A spokesperson noted that the shorter days of the winter season can lead to an increase in opportunistic crime. Householders are advised to ensure that all garages, sheds, and outbuildings are fitted with functional locks and alarms, and that valuable belongings are securely stored and marked.
Detailed advice on property protection can be found on the PSNI website under the 'Advice and Information' section.
