Police Name Victim of Portadown Murder Investigation

Major Investigation Team detectives have formally named the victim of a murder inquiry in Portadown as Rolandas Kvederis, aged 49. The investigation follows an incident that took place on Thursday 26th March.

Detective Chief Inspector Bradley stated: "Shortly after 11pm, we received a report of an altercation at a property in the Ranfurley Road area. Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Sadly, Mr Kvederis was pronounced dead at the scene."

A man, aged in his 50's has now been charged with Mr Kvederis' murder. He will appear before Lisburn Magistrates' Court this morning, Monday 30 March.

A second man, also aged in his 50s, who was also arrested during the investigation, has been released without charge.

Woman Dies In Comber Road Collision
A woman, aged in her 60s, has died following a serious road collision in Comber on Monday, 20 October. Emergency services attended the scene of a single vehicle road crash on the Ballygowan Road. The driver of the vehicle died as a result of the collision, police have confirmed.

Woman Dies Following Collision In Newtownabbey
A woman has died in hospital following a collision on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on Monday, 13th January. Shortly before 6.15pm, police received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.
