Woman Rescued Following Petrol Bomb Attack On Saintfield Home
Police have launched an investigation following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Saintfield during the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 1 April.
The incident occurred in the Manse Court area at approximately 1.15am. It was reported that a window had been smashed before a petrol bomb was thrown into the property, causing the building to catch fire.
Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland attended the scene alongside crews from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. A female resident was successfully rescued from the burning house during the emergency operation. Detective Sergeant Johnston stated: "This is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 65 01/04/26."
Members of the public can also submit information online through the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting crimestoppers-uk.org/.

A fourth petrol bomb attack on a Londonderry interface has further heightened tensions in the area. The mainly Protestant Fountain estate in central Derry has seen several attacks which have this week led to warnings from both nationalist and unionist politicians that someone could be killed in a confrontation.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following two petrol bomb attacks in the Dungannon area in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 30th May. At approximately 3.25am police received a report of a car on fire in the Spout Road area of Fivemiletown.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack at a property in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine. Shortly after 1.20am on Monday 22nd August, emergency services were called to reports of a fire after a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at the front of a property.

Sinn Féin Condemns Petrol Bomb Attack
Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile has condemned a further petrol bomb attack in the Short Strand area. Police are investigating the incident, which saw four petrol bombs thrown at an east Belfast interface around 10.30pm on Monday night.
