Witness Appeal After Late-Night Assault In East Belfast

Detectives are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage after a man suffered facial injuries in a late-night assault in east Belfast.

Police said the incident was reported at around 11.40pm on Thursday, 9 April.

Detective Sergeant Stevenson said: "It was reported at around 11.40pm that a man was punched in the face and assaulted as he lay on the ground by another male.

"The victim sustained facial injuries as a result of the incident, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are asking anyone who witnessed what happened, or who might have any information which might assist, to get in touch. We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who might have any dash cam footage which might assist.

"The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1789 of 09/04/26."

Injured Man Found In Street After Assault
A man has been hospitalised for injuries he sustained in an attack in Larne. The victim was found in the Point Street area of the County Antrim town at around 10.35pm last night, Wednesday 22 May. He had been assaulted a short time earlier close to the underpass and suffered serious facial injuries.

A man is being treated in hospital following a "sectarian" assault in Co Down. The incident occurred at the junction of Townsend and Kenlis streets close to Banbridge bus station. The victim sustained a number of facial injuries.
