Police Appeal For Information After Shooting In Coleraine
Detectives have launched an investigation following a shooting in Coleraine in the early hours of Sunday, 12th April.
The victim was walking home along the Bushmills Road between 1.00am and 1.30am when he was approached by a male suspect. The suspect, who was wearing all-black clothing with his face covered, reportedly fired four shots at the man. One of the rounds struck the victim in the hand; he is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
In response to the incident, officers are conducting enquiries on the Bushmills Road, which remains closed from the junction with the Ballycastle Road to the junction with the Artillery Road.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the shooting, or who may possess dash-cam, doorbell, or other video footage that could assist the investigation, to make contact. Information should be reported by calling 101, quoting reference number 443 of 12/04/26.
