Coalisland's Summer Bash is set to make its comeback on Sunday 17 May 2026, with Mid Ulster District Council hosting the free community event at the Shared Space on Lineside from 10.30am to 1pm to coincide with the annual Newell Stores 5K and 10K run.

Families, runners and supporters can enjoy a packed programme of free activities, including face painting, walkabout characters, large games and the much-loved bubble bike producing hundreds of bubbles each minute.

On-stage entertainment will be compered by Stevie King, with live music from Frank McKernan and The Solo Set, performances by Coalisland Clonoe Comhaltas, and dance from JD Dance. Deputy Chair of the Council, Councillor Denise Johnston, said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome the return of the much-loved Coalisland Summer Bash on Sunday, 17 May 2026. This fantastic free, family-friendly event is a highlight in our local calendar, bringing people of all ages together to enjoy a day of fun, entertainment, and community spirit. This year's event again coincides with the ever-popular Newell Stores 5K and 10K run, adding an extra buzz to the town and offering something for everyone — whether you're taking part in the race or simply coming along to soak up the atmosphere. Mid Ulster District Council is proud to support events like this that celebrate our vibrant towns and create opportunities for families and friends to connect and make lasting memories.
