Coalisland Summer Bash Returns On 17 May 2026

Coalisland's Summer Bash is set to make its comeback on Sunday 17 May 2026, with Mid Ulster District Council hosting the free community event at the Shared Space on Lineside from 10.30am to 1pm to coincide with the annual Newell Stores 5K and 10K run.

Families, runners and supporters can enjoy a packed programme of free activities, including face painting, walkabout characters, large games and the much-loved bubble bike producing hundreds of bubbles each minute.

On-stage entertainment will be compered by Stevie King, with live music from Frank McKernan and The Solo Set, performances by Coalisland Clonoe Comhaltas, and dance from JD Dance.

Police Appeal For Information After Shooting In Coleraine
Detectives have launched an investigation following a shooting in Coleraine in the early hours of Sunday, 12th April. The victim was walking home along the Bushmills Road between 1.00am and 1.30am when he was approached by a male suspect. The suspect, who was wearing all-black clothing with his face covered, reportedly fired four shots at the man.

Police Appeal For Witnesses Following East Belfast Assault
Detectives in east Belfast have issued an appeal for information following an assault that occurred on the evening of Thursday, 9th April. Authorities received a report regarding the incident at approximately 11.40pm. According to police, a man was punched in the face before being further assaulted while on the ground by another male.
