New £13.5m Mallusk MOT Centre Completed to Tackle Testing Demand

Leading construction firm Henry Brothers has completed work on a new £13.5 million Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) MOT test centre and administrative headquarters in Mallusk. The project, which was delivered on time and within budget, is set to significantly boost vehicle testing capacity in the region.

The state-of-the-art facility features a ten-lane testing area designed to handle a high volume of inspections. This includes seven ramp-based lanes for light vehicles, two heavy vehicle testing lanes, and a specialised bay dedicated to motorcycles. Additionally, the site incorporates a new internal road network, extensive car parking, and a purpose-built off-road motorcycle driving test track.

Built on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure, the project was first announced in November 2024 to address the growing demand for vehicle testing services.
