Antiques enthusiasts and bargain hunters alike are preparing for a major public auction in Omagh next week. Acting on instructions from the personal representatives of the late Robert and Elizabeth Pigott, Viewback Auctions will host an extensive house clearance featuring an array of fine antiques, quality home furnishings, and collectible items.

The live auction is scheduled for Tuesday evening, 26th May at 7:00pm, with public viewing opening earlier that afternoon at 4:00pm. The sale will take place on-site at 11 Pinewood Avenue, Omagh, BT79 0DB.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse catalogue of standout furniture and historical pieces. Among the featured items are a 19th-century duet music stand, an Italian inlaid display cabinet, a bureau bookcase, a grandfather clock, and a late Victorian hall stand. The furniture collection also boasts an oak Ercol dresser, a dining table paired with six chairs, a selection of inlaid and occasional tables, chests of drawers, bookshelves, a dressing table, a cheval mirror, suede upholstered armchairs, and Victorian-style occasional and boudoir chairs.

For collectors of fine ornaments and tableware, the auction features an extensive selection of ceramics from renowned makers including Royal Albert, Royal Doulton, and Mason's Ironstone. Notable tea sets, such as Indian Tree and Moonlight Rose designs, will go under the hammer alongside various decorative vases, high-quality glassware, and Tyrone crystal—including a striking Tyrone table lamp.

Collectors of memorabilia will discover an original framed Mat Mulchay verse, advertising biscuit tins, an assortment of books and ephemera—with some items specifically relating to angling and the R.A.F.—as well as a World War II canvas case and other vintage luggage.

Beyond antiques, the sale offers highly practical items for the home and garden. Bidders can vie for an as-new washing machine, quality carpet squares and runners, beds, heavy William Morris-inspired curtains, and door curtains complete with brass rail closers. For the outdoors, the lot lists a gas barbecue, various gardening tools, and an assortment of garden ornaments and planters. A large selection of boxed lots containing useful everyday items will also be sold entirely without reserve.

Those wishing to attend the view or the sale can register upon entry for a fee of £2, which includes a copy of the auction list. Bidding can be conducted in person at the venue or online via easyliveauction.com.
