Arrest Made In Connection With Carrickfergus Stabbing

A 41-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in Carrickfergus on Wednesday 27 May.

Detective Inspector Lenaghan said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, following a search in the Newtownabbey area on Saturday, 30th May. He has been taken into custody and will be interviewed in due course.

"Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and I would urge anyone who can assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1557 27/05/26.
