Arrest Made In Connection With Carrickfergus Stabbing
A 41-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in Carrickfergus on Wednesday 27 May.
Detective Inspector Lenaghan said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, following a search in the Newtownabbey area on Saturday, 30th May. He has been taken into custody and will be interviewed in due course.
"Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and I would urge anyone who can assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1557 27/05/26.
"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.uk"

Veteran soldiers serving sentences at Maghaberry and Magilligan prisons have created hand-crafted clay army cap badges for a unique new art exhibition. The project, titled 'The Badge is Everything', has been developed over the last two years by 30 ex-servicemen currently in custody in Northern Ireland.
