NIFRS Responds To Over 30 Incidents During Night Of Protest

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) has issued a statement details its response to widespread activity during protests on Wednesday 10 June 2026.

A spokesperson for the NIFRS stated: "From 7pm – 11.59pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026, our Regional Control Centre received 82 emergency calls resulting in crews being mobilised to 33 incidents across Northern Ireland.

"We responded to incidents across Belfast, Mallusk, Glengormley and Portadown, which included a vehicle fire, lorry fire, house fire, derelict building fire and industrial bin fire.

"Firefighters from Glengormley, Westland, Springfield, Knock and Portadown Fire Stations attended the incidents and extinguished the fires.

"Our crews also continued to respond to other emergencies including a road traffic collision in Bangor.

"We would like to thank our Firefighters for their continued commitment and to our community for their ongoing support."
