Search for Missing Castlederg Woman Enters Tenth Day

A major multi-agency search operation is continuing into its tenth day for a 31-year-old Castlederg woman who was reported missing from the Fermanagh area on Friday, 5 June.

Lyndsey Rankin was last seen at approximately 9.30am on 5 June in the vicinity of Castle Archdale Marina in Lisnarick. When last sighted, she was wearing a dark-coloured top and black leggings.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is being assisted by several statutory and voluntary emergency services, including the Coastguard, the Community Rescue Service (CRS), Foyle Search and Rescue, and the RNLI. The ongoing operation is being managed and coordinated by a specialized Police Search Adviser (POLSA).

Emergency service personnel remain active across the region, focusing their efforts on the Lower Lough Erne, Castle Archdale, and surrounding areas.

Inspector Melanie Hicks said: "We understand the community's concern and know this is a very painful time for Lyndsey's family. We want to assure them that we are working hard to find Lyndsey, with the assistance of colleagues and voluntary partners, including those from the Coastguard, Community Rescue Service (CRS), Foyle Search and Rescue and the RNLI. All these enquiries are being coordinated by a Police Search Adviser (POLSA).

"We are now on day 10 since Lyndsey was last seen. The public will have noticed police and emergency services in the area conducting our ongoing searches and this will continue with searches around the Lower Lough Erne, Castle Archdale and surrounding area.

"We'd like to thank those members of the public who have already contacted us with information on Lyndsey's movements on Friday morning.

"If anyone did see Lyndsey in the days leading up to Friday, we would encourage you to please get in touch with police.

"We can be contacted on 101, quoting reference 1242 of 05/06/2026. Always call 999 in an emergency."
