Police Appeal for Witnesses After Serious Assault in Belfast City Centre
Police in Belfast are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault on a young man in the city centre during the early hours of Sunday, 14th June.
It was reported that the victim, a man aged in his early 20s, was outside licensed premises in the Dunbar Street area at approximately 3.15am when he was assaulted by two men, who are also believed to be in their 20s.
During the incident, the victim was knocked unconscious and sustained multiple facial fractures. Enquiries into the attack are currently ongoing. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault, or who may have spotted the suspects in the area, to come forward. Investigators have provided descriptions of the two men involved: one was dressed entirely in black, while the second was wearing an orange coloured top paired with light coloured trousers.
Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting reference number 324 14/06/26. Alternatively, information can be submitted anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
