Appeal After Man Arrested Over Scissors Threat At Belfast's Grand Central Station
Police in Belfast have arrested a man after a report that a male armed with scissors threatened a staff member at Grand Central Station at around 1pm on Tuesday, 30 June.
Officers attended and detained a 29-year-old on suspicion of possession of a blade or pointed article in a public place, and common assault. He remains in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have footage from the area, is asked to contact officers at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 741 30/06/26.

Six men who masqueraded as police officers to defraud members of the public have been sentenced at Belfast Crown Court for conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, money laundering and possessing criminal property. The gang, aged between 31 and 61, operated between January 2020 and May 2021.

Police are investigating criminal damage at commercial premises in Markethill after graffiti was discovered this morning, Tuesday 30 June. Shortly after 8.30am, graffiti was reported on a wall at the side of the building. It is the second time the property has been targeted, following similar damage on Tuesday 23 June.
