Tourism NI Grants Four Stars To Restored Armagh City Self-Catering Property
A renovated self-catering property in the heart of Armagh city centre has been awarded a four-star grade by Tourism Northern Ireland.
The two-bedroom home at 31 Lower English, which overlooks St Patrick’s Cathedral, received the rating following an assessment under the Tourism NI Quality Grading Scheme.
Owners Carly and Padraig Duff completed a full renovation in 2025, creating what assessors described as a "very tastefully styled" home and "a peaceful, relaxing space for guests". Sleeping up to five, the property offers a king-size bed in the master bedroom and a second bedroom with a child-friendly bunk bed designed around a playful Lego theme.
The assessment praised the master bedroom's "superb natural light" and highlighted the bathroom’s vintage and "extravagant style", noting accessories and products that "will exceed expectations".
Alison Leslie, Quality Assurance Manager at Tourism NI, said: "Tourism NI is delighted to award a four-star accommodation grade to this wonderful two-story home right in the heart of Armagh city centre.
"Fully renovated in 2025, it is within walking distance to local pubs, restaurants, shops, and other local amenities and enjoys a picturesque view of St Patrick’s Cathedral.
