Man and woman arrested following racial incident
A man and woman are helping police with enquiries following a suspected racist incident in Belfast.
The incident is believed to have occurred in the Village area of south Belfast late on Wednesday evening after a man contacted police saying someone was kicking at his front door and shouting racist insults.
A man in his late teens and a woman in her early 20s were arrested shortly afterwards in connection with the incident.

Woman Interviewed Over Racial Abuse Incident In Belfast
A woman has been interviewed in connection with a racial abuse incident in Belfast over the weekend. The incident happened in Donegall Square West on Saturday, 10 June. The racial abuse was directed at three teenage girls. A 30-year-old woman has been questioned and a report will be submitted to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Three men were sentenced for offences linked to a drugs and money laundering operation in the Ballymena area yesterday, 31 January. At Antrim Crown Court, Troy Carley (27), Neil Lowry (30) and Marc Mitchell (32) were sentenced for a number of offences.

The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.

Appeal After Muslim Woman Assaulted In 'Hate Crime' Attack
Police are appealing for information after a Muslim woman was assaulted in Portadown on Saturday. The incident occurred on the Gilford Road at around 4.30pm. Police are treating the attack as a 'hate crime', which was racially motivated. A white car began to beep the horn at the woman and the female passenger began shouting racial abuse.
