Two policemen injured by stone-throwers
Two police officers have been injured following an attack on their patrol car in Co Antrim last night.
The officers were travelling through the village of Loughguile at around 10pm on Tuesday when a brick and stone was thrown through the driver’s window.
The attack left the driver with cuts to his face and a shoulder while his colleague had cuts on his face, head and neck. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 028 9065 0222.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Hamill Inquiry Witnesses To Be Screened
The Robert Hamill Inquiry has ruled that witnesses who are serving or retired police officers may give their evidence from behind a screen. However, they will not be granted full anonymity. This ruling has been made in response to applications for such screening on behalf of a number of former or still serving police officers due to give evidence.
