Man dies in road traffic collision

A Portavogie man has died following a road traffic accident in Co Down on Tuesday.

The incident saw two cars collide on the Springvale Road in Ballywalter at around 6.30am.

The victim, named as Glen Brook from Portavogie, is believed to have been driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash.

The driver of the other car is not thought to have sustained serious injuries, however he was taken to hospital where he is being treated for shock.

Police want to speak to the driver of a blue car which stopped at the scene of the crash but left before officers arrived.

Woman dies in Ballymoney road accident
A woman has died this morning following a road traffic accident in Co Antrim. The woman, who has not yet been named, was killed when two cars collided on the Finvoy Road in Ballymoney at around 7.30am. The road has been closed and diversions are in place at the junction of Killagan Road and Burn Quarter Road.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.
