Ammunition recovered in Coleraine
Police have recovered a substantial amount of ammunition in the Coleraine area at the weekend.
A member of the public discovered the cache in a river beside a picnic area in Castleroe Forest shortly after 4pm on Saturday.
Army Technical officers were immediately tasked to the scene and the items were removed for further examination.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at Coleraine on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police Appeal For Missing Coleraine Man Andrew Smith
Police are appealing for information to trace missing Coleraine man Andrew Smith. Mr Smith, 28, was last seen in the Ballysally area at around midnight. He is believed to have been driving a white Ford Focus. A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are keen to establish Andrew's whereabouts and that he is safe and well. Police can be contacted on 101.

Developer Ends Planning Challenge
A leading property developer has ended his legal challenge to a new planning framework for the north coast of Northern Ireland. Seymour Sweeney, owner of Seaport Developments, originally initiated High Court challenges to the Draft Northern Area Plan, (DNAP) but has now withdrawn from the two judicial reviews.

Man Arrested Under Terrorism Act
A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co Tyrone. The 34-year-old was detained in the Coalisland area on Tuesday, 19 June. He is currently in custody at Musgrave police station. The arrest is in relation to a weapons and ammunition find at a garage in the Mountjoy Road in 2011.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Coleraine, Co L'Derry last night. Two shots were fired through the front door of a house in the Churchlands Road area at about 10.30pm on Tuesday 24 November. A man who was in the house at the time had heard at knock at the door but not opened it.

76-Year-Old Coleraine Man Jailed For Sexual Assault Of A Child
A 76-year-old Coleraine man has been sentenced to nine years at Laganside Crown Court for three counts of sexual assault of a child. The man, who cannot be named in order to protect the victim's identity, will serve four years in prison and five years on licence.
