Man Arrested Under Terrorism Act

A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co Tyrone.

The 34-year-old was detained in the Coalisland area on Tuesday, 19 June.

He is currently in custody at Musgrave police station.

The arrest is in relation to a weapons and ammunition find at a garage in the Mountjoy Road in 2011.

Man Found With Head Injury In West Belfast
A man has been found with a head injury next to a car in west Belfast. Shortly before 1.25am in the morning of Thursday 08 November the victim was found next to what police described as a "damaged, older model, black-coloured Ford Fiesta" in the Clonavogie Gardens area of west Belfast.

Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery
Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night. Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.

Two men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co L'Derry. Several items were seized following searches in the area on Wednesday, 21 March. They have been taken away for further examination. The men have been detained in police custody.

Man Arrested Over Soldier Murders
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering two soldiers in Northern Ireland in 1972. John Downey, 66, whose trial over the IRA's Hyde Park bomb collapsed, was detained by Gardai in County Donegal as part of a joint operation with the PSNI. Mr Downey is expected to appear at Dublin High Court on Tuesday afternoon, 06 November.

Man released after weapons find
A man who was arrested in connection with with the discovery of a quantity of ammunition at the weekend, has been released without charge, a PSNI spokesperson has today confirmed. The arrest was made on Friday evening after a number of proactive police searches in the area when a shotgun, ammunition and a number of petrol bombs were recovered.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.

Three Arrested Under Terrorism Act Following Belfast Searches
Police have arrested three men under the Terrorism Act following search operations carried out in north and west Belfast. The men, aged 45, 46 and 54, were detained in connection with two separate paramilitary-style shooting in June and July. A "large quantity of cash", mobile phones and other items where also seized during the operation.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
