A man who was travelling in a hijacked car has died following a road traffic collision in south Belfast on Thursday.

The dead man, who has been named as Stephen Martin McDaid, 17, of Salisbury Avenue, north Belfast, was driving the stolen car when it collided with other vehicles, including a taxi, at around 8pm on Thursday.

Two others in the car are reported to be in a critical condition in hospital.
