1,000 jobs set for Newbridge, Kildare
Around, 1,000 new jobs are set to be created at the largest retail shopping development outside of Dublin.
The Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge, Co. Kildare retail development will include fashion and retail stores.
Anchor tenants will be Debenhams and Marks & Spencer and the shopping centre will have space for some 55 retailers in the 32,000 square metre development.
Jointly developed by Sean Dunne, the owner of the Jurys Hotel site in Ballsbridge, and Sean Mulryan of Ballymore Properties, the site is scheduled to open early next year.

Jobs Galore In Athlone Retail Boom
Around 1,000 jobs are being created today as a huge new landmark shopping centre is officially opened in Athlone. The €500m Athlone Town Centre development is being described as one of Europe's biggest rejuvenation projects. Around 1,000 people are to work at the centre, which includes shops, a hotel and more than 60 apartments.

Amazon To Create 1,000 New Jobs
Amazon has announced it will create 1,000 new permanent roles at its UK fulfilment centres in the coming months. There are currently 6,000 permanent employees in Amazon fulfilment and customer service centres in the UK.

Jobs To Flow From Royal Exchange Plans
Plans to regenerate Belfast's Royal Exchange area must be outlined by October next year, a development consortium has been told. NI Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie laid down the deadline for the £360m project, which has the potential to generate 2,000 construction jobs, today.

Plans For Huge Shopping Centre Approved
An Bord Pleanala has approved plans for a huge shopping centre that will create over 1,300 jobs. The €200 million Newgate Centre to be based in Waterford in three years time will also mean 600 jobs in the construction industry for the 5.1 acre site.
