Lisa Dorrian Website receives record number of hits
A website set up by the family of murder victim Lisa Dorrian has already received around millions of hits.
The Lisa Dorrian Website , which was set up to help locate the body of the missing woman, was launched just before Christmas and has been visited by people "close" to the alleged suspects, her sister has claimed.
The 25-year-old was last seen in February 2005 at a party in a caravan site in Ballyhalbert where she is believed to have been murdered. Although, despite extensive air and sea searches, her body has never been recovered.
Since the launch of the website thousands of people from across the world have logged on to find out more about the families campaign to find Lisa's remains.
Lisa's sister, Joanne has spoken of her families' gratitude to the response they have received: "People even took the time on Christmas day to visit this site and leave messages of support for our family."
She added: "It is very touching that they would take the time to think about us at this time."
She also said confidential messages had been left on the website by people close to the alleged suspects and she hoped that something positive would come of that in the future.
