Strangford Lough body remains unidentified

The body of a man recovered from Strangford Lough in County Down last week has still not been identified.

A post mortem examination has been carried out and has indicated that there were no suspicious circumstances involved in his death.

A member of the public who was walking on the beach at Ballyquintin Point discovered the badly decomposed body last Friday morning.

The PSNI are to carry out an investigation to uncover the identity of the man, but believe it could be some time before this is established.
