Attempted abduction of child in Armagh

Police in Craigavon have appealed for information relating to the attempted abduction of an eight-year-old boy.

The incident occurred at around 6pm yesterday evening, in the Drumbeg area of the town.

The man is believed to have tried to entice the boy into his small blue hatchback car, but fled after the boy refused.

The man is described as being around 6' 2" in height, of slim build with short dark hair, glasses, and is believed to have a mole under his eye. He is also thought to be wearing black trousers and a red top.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Craigavon on 0845 600 8000.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.
