Hilton Belfast scores award hat trick

Belfast's Hilton has made it three in a row as the hotel was again named as the number one Hilton in the UK for customer care.

Beating 77 of Hilton’s other hotels throughout the UK including the famous London Hilton on Park Lane, this is the third time in the past two years that Northern Ireland has scooped the first place in this national survey.

Patrick Stapleton, Area General Manager of Hilton Northern Ireland said: “It has been our intention to build on previous successes and I am proud that we have demonstrated our ability to consistently deliver high standards of customer care. To have been recognised in this way three times in a row is a real honour.”

The success enjoyed by Hilton in Belfast is echoed by the recognition that the city is garnering as a whole.

Gerry Lennon, Chief Executive of the Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau believes that the Hilton’s success is a measure of how Belfast is becoming increasingly recognised for the high quality of its accommodation, conference and leisure facilities.

Mr Lennon said: “This result for Hilton Belfast is indicative of how Belfast is becoming internationally known for the welcome we provide for both business and leisure tourists. With standards across the board in the tourism and hospitality field getting higher all the time, it is little wonder that Belfast has recently been praised as the city to visit in Ireland by the publishers of the Lonely Planet Guide.”

This news comes after Hilton signed a conditional agreement for the sale of Hilton International to HCC for the sum of approx £3.7 billon.

The deal will expand the brand to over 2750 hotels in over 80 countries.
