Police find £30,000 worth of cannabis in Belfast
Police have today seized a large quantity of cannabis resin in north Belfast.
During a routine police patrol near the Cavehill Country Park area of the city, officers noticed two males acting suspiciously.
When police approached them, they recovered an amount of cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of £30,000.
The two are currently helping the police with their inquiries.
Meanwhile in the east of the city, a 17 year-old male has been arrested for possession of Class A and Class C drugs with intent to supply.
The narcotics were recovered during a planned police search at an address in the Short Strand area of the city.
The youth will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Man Charged Over £16,000 Cannabis Find
A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.

400 cannabis plants have been seized during a police operation in west Belfast at the weekend. The plants were seized on Sunday after officers raided the cannabis factory in the Broadway area as part of a planned search.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Investigation Launched After Heroin And Cash Seized In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after discovering heroin and a sum of cash in Belfast city centre. Four wraps of the Class A drugs were found in bushes on Wednesday, 30 November. Police also seized a sum of cash. The PSNI are continuing with their enquiries.
