Man shot in paramilitary style attack

A 32-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a paramilitary style shooting in north Belfast.

The attack happened in Agnes Street in the Shankill Road area of the city at around 10.20pm yesterday.

Police have reported that two masked men approached the victim from behind, before shooting him in both legs.

The man was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, where he is been treated for his injuries.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or may have information in relation to the attack, to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

PSNI Welcomes Sentencing Of Men Convicted Of ATM Thefts
The PSNI have welcomed the sentences handed down to Fearghal Nolan and Michael Muckian, at Newry Magistrates' Court. The investigation, carried out with colleagues in An Garda Síochána, followed two ATM thefts in Dundalk in April 2020. A cross-border pursuit involving a Gardaí helicopter ensued, and the men were later arrested in Crossmaglen.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Shot Man 'Struggled' With Assailants
A man is recovering in hospital today after he was shot multiple times at his home. The 25-year-old victim was rushed to hospital after he was shot five times by a gang on the outskirts of Belfast. The injured man sustained gunshot wounds to his calves, shoulder, thigh and hand in the shooting and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
