Child injured in west Belfast hit and run

Police in west Belfast have appealed for information following a hit and run incident yesterday afternoon.

At around 4.15pm, a white Vauxhall Vectra, registration number RBZ 7510, was in collision with a 10-year-old boy on the Lenadoon Avenue area of the city.

The driver of the vehicle then ran away from the scene.

The child was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries and was later discharged.

Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Renewed Appeal For Information In West Belfast Murder Investigation
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have renewed an appeal for information following the death of a man in west Belfast. A murder investigation was launched after a man was found seriously injured and unconscious in the Cupar Street area of the city on Wednesday evening, 6 March. The man passed away in hospital later that same night.
