Second man remanded over discovery of bomb parts
A 26-year-old man has appeared before Craigavon Magistrates Court in connection with the discovery of bomb making materials suspected to be used to make a 250lb bomb in Lurgan, County Armagh last week.
Stephen John Coleman, from Parry Drive in Lurgan, is charged with having explosives with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to cause an explosion.
He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear at the same court via video link on Thursday.
On Saturday, 22-year-old Daire McKenna, from Lurgan Tarry in Lurgan was also remanded in custody after appearing at Craigavon Magistrates Court charged with possessing explosives with intent to endanger life.
It is understood that Mr McKenna may apply for bail over the next few days.
Two other men who were arrested in connection with the incident have since been released from custody.
The discovery was made last Thursday, following a planned police operation to raid a suspected bomb making factory in a breakers yard in the Antrim Road area of Lurgan.
Detectives believed the find to be connected to dissident republicans and made four arrests under the Terrorism Act.
Police said that the seizure of the equipment had foiled an imminent and major car bomb attack.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge

The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. The defendants were sentenced over the five-week period, from 11 January to 16 February, at Belfast Crown Court.

New Pilot Scheme Announced To Test Filming NI Appeal Court Judgements
A new pilot scheme to film the deliver of judgments in the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland, has been announced by the Lady Chief Justice, Dame Siobhan Keegan. It is understood that during the pilot scheme, none of the judgements will be broadcast, but the filming used to test the process and inform future decisions.

22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.
