Cash box taken in armed raid

There has been an armed robbery of a cash van at an ATM in Dundonald this morning.

A police spokesperson said that a security guard was making a delivery at an ATM on the Upper Newtownards Road when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.

The man demanded the cash box and fled in a waiting maroon coloured car.

Police are keen to speak to a man who approached the security guard and told him what he had seen.
