Man shot in County Down attack
Police in County Down have appealed for information following a paramilitary style shooting yesterday evening.
A PSNI spokesperson has said that a man in his 30's was taken to hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his right calf.
The incident happened in the Rathgill Parade area of Bangor, at around 10.30pm last night.
The victims injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in connection with the attack, should contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Death Of Kilkeel Man Being Treated As Murder
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Kilkeel. On Thursday, 21 March, police received a report of a concern for safety for a couple at a property in the Newcastle Road area of the town shortly after 12.50pm. On arrival, officers located the body of a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A van used in the shooting of Randalstown PSNI station on Wednesday evening is believed to have been the vehicle stolen earlier in the evening from a family who were held hostage by a gang of men at a house in Craigstown Road in the town.
