Four police officers struck by car

Police in west Belfast have appealed for information after four officers were struck by a vehicle in the early hours of this morning.

It is understood that police were responding to a call reporting a domestic incident in the Woodside View area of Dunmurry at around 1.50am, when they approached the driver of a car, which was parked close by.

The driver then drove off, striking one female and three male officers, along with a police Land Rover.

No one was seriously injured during the incident.

A man in his 20's was arrested at the scene, and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen the red coloured Hyundai Lantra car in the area, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Six Police Officers Injured After Stolen Car Rams Three Vehicles
Six police officers have been injured following a creeper burglary in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. A stolen car rammed into three police vehicles during a pursuit. Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and two of them are also suspected of motoring offences.

Armed Robber Dresses As Police Officer
Police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Co Armagh. Police said that one of the men who attempted to rob the shop on West Street, Portadown, was dressed as a policeman. It is understood two men entered the shop at about 10am on Thursday, one of them was carrying a suspected firearm.
