Boy dies in swimming pool incident
An eight-year-old boy has died following an incident at a school swimming pool in County Fermanagh.
The victim has been named as eight-year-old Paul Bogue, from Garvary, in Enniskillen, who is believed to have got into difficulty while playing in the outdoor swimming pool in the Portora School in Enniskillen, on Tuesday.
He was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where he died yesterday.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
It is understood that the pool is open for use by a summer scheme during the months of July and August.
Both staff and pupils at Mullanaskea Primary school, where Paul was a pupil, are said to be "shocked and horrified" by what happened.
His funeral is expected to take place tomorrow in the village of Tempo.
