Two arrested during aggravated burglary
Police in west Belfast have arrested two men in connection with an aggravated burglary yesterday evening.
At around 11pm, police received reports of suspicious activity at a house in the in the St James Park area of the city.
On their arrival to the property, they discovered two intruders who were taken into custody.
The 67-year-old occupant was taken to hospital for facial injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
Detectives have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, should contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man Arrested Following Suspected Attack On Toddler
A toddler is currently being treated in hospital following a suspected assault in County Armagh. The alleged attack on two-year-old girl occurred in in Bessbrook on Sunday. A man in his 20s has been arrested.

Skimming Device Found On ATM
A skimming device has been found on an ATM in the Castlereagh area of Belfast. It is understood the device, which has since been removed, was found on an ATM at a service station on the Milltown Road. It is thought to have been attached to the machine on Saturday morning.

Police are investigating a report of suspicious activity on Jubilee Way in Newtownabbey this morning, Monday, 6 October. Chief Inspector Mullan confirmed that the PSNI received a report around 8.10am regarding an alleged interaction between a woman in a vehicle and a school child.

Cigarettes seized in County Tyrone
Police in County Tyrone have recovered a large quantity of contraband cigarettes. Around 365,000 cigarettes were discovered during a police search of premises at School Terrace in Sion Mills, following reports of suspicious activity in the area. No one was arrested during the raid and police have said that inquiries into the find are continuing.
