Pensioner robbed in Dungannon home
Detectives in County Tyrone have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her Dungannon home on Monday evening.
The incident happened at around 10.20pm, when four men forced their way into the home of a 73-year-old woman in the Church Hill Park area of Caledon.
One of the men held the woman down, a second man threatened her with a metal bar, while the other two ransacked the house.
The thieves then made off in a waiting car driven by a fifth man, and as they made their escape, dropped a tin box, which contained a sum of cash.
The woman was not injured during the incident, however was left badly shaken by her ordeal.
The first robber is described as being around 5'10 – 6' ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a light coloured hooded top, blue jeans, and a cloth type mask covering his face.
The second man, who was armed with a metal bar, is said to be aged in his 20's, around 6 feet tall, with a fresh face, long, straight dirty fair hair, and was wearing jeans and a hooded top.
The other two men are described as being in their early 20's, around 5'10 – 6 ft tall, and of slim build.
All four are said to have spoken with southern Irish accents.

A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A masked man, armed with a hatchet, has threatened workers at a bingo hall in Portadown. The incident occurred at around 9pm on Tuesday, 12 December. The man threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash. No-one was injured. The man has been described as being around 6ft 3inches tall and of medium build.
