Explosives found in west Belfast
Police have recovered a quantity of explosives in west Belfast.
The discovery, which was made at the side of the Upper Springfield Road yesterday, also included a small quantity of ammunition and a rifle.
The discovery was first thought to have been a suspicious device and the road between the Hannastown Road and Monagh Roundabout was sealed off while Army technical officers attended the scene.
The explosives have since been removed from the scene for forensic examination.

Explosives Found In Co Tyrone Search
A quantity of explosives and explosive material have been found by police in Co Tyrone. A search of land in the Cemetery Road area of Strabane was carried out on Sunday morning. It is understood the search was related to dissident republican terrorism.

Woman Arrested In Connection With Firearms And Explosives Find
A 35-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a firearms and explosives find in west Belfast. Over half-a-kilo of Semtex, two handguns, more than 200 rounds of ammunition and two detonators were discovered on the Ballymurphy Road earlier this month. The woman is being detained at Antrim Police Sattion.
