Man due in court over £18m drugs seizure
A 42-year-old man is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court later today charged in connection with the seizure of £18 million worth of cannabis last week.
The man was arrested yesterday and is facing a charge of 'being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs.'
Last week, police in County Down recovered what has been described as Northern Ireland's biggest ever drugs seizure during a search at an Industrial Estate in Newtownards.
The drugs were concealed in a false consignment on a flatbed trailer.
Two men have already appeared in court charged in connection with the find.

Detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch have charged a 36-year-old man to court, following an arrest at Belfast City Airport on Wednesday, 24 September. The man was arrested after suspected drugs with a potential street value of approximately £300,000 were seized from the luggage of a man arriving on a connecting international flight.
