Armed robbery in County Antrim

Detectives in County Antrim have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store yesterday evening.

At around 6.20pm, a man entered the premises and picked up a drink. As he approached the counter, he produced a knife with a blade approximately three inches long and threatened staff before demanding money. He then made off on foot with a quantity of cash.

The robber is described as being around 6 feet tall and of stocky build.

He was wearing a short grey coloured jacket zipped up over his chin, with the hood covering his head, a light grey New York Yankees baseball cap, blue jeans, white trainers and a black woollen gloves.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or have any information in connection with it, are asked to contact detectives in Larne on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.
