Man remanded over woman's murder

A 23-year-old man has been remanded in custody, charged with the murder of a woman in west Belfast at the weekend.

Kristoph Emmanuel Aluya, originally from Nigeria, but now living in County Carlow, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court earlier today charged in connection with the murder.

A defence lawyer today told the court that his client pleaded not guilty, however a detective sergeant said that he believed that he could connect him to the charge.

Grace Moore, 38, from Erris Grove in the Black's Road area of the city, was found dead at her home on Saturday.

It is understood that she had been stabbed.

Mr Aluya was remanded in custody and will appear in court via video-link on December 12.
