Man remanded over incendiary attack

A 22-year-old man has appeared in Belfast Magistrates court charged in connection with causing an explosion likely to endanger life.

Anthony Craig, of Clandeboye Drive in the Short Strand area of Belfast, was charged in connection with an incendiary attack on Smyth's toy store in the Shane retail park in the Boucher Road area of south Belfast on November 1.

Craig denies plotting the explosion, however a PSNI sergeant claimed that he could connect him to the charge.

He was remanded in custody to reappear in court via video-link on December 18.
