Man injured during 'racial attack'
Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following a what is believed to have been a racial assault on a man in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident happened as the victim, who is said to be a 24-year-old Czech national, was leaving a bar in the Dublin Road area of the city between 1am and 2am.
As he left the bar, the man was approached by up to five males, one of whom proceeded to attack him.
The victim was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious facial injuries.
Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Man Shot In Legs In Co Armagh
A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.
