City centre rape inquiry man released

A man arrested yesterday in connection with a serious sexual assault in County Antrim at the weekend, has been released pending reports.

The arrest is understood to be in relation to the rape of a woman in the toilets of a bar in Belfast City Centre on Saturday evening.

The incident was reported to police at around 7pm on Saturday, however details of the assault were not released until yesterday afternoon.
