Teenager shot in paramilitary style attack

Police have appealed for information following a paramilitary style attack in County Londonderry at the weekend.

The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Saturday evening in the Benevenagh Gardens area of the city, when the victim – a teenage boy, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

The boy was taken to hospital, where he remains in a “stable” condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or with any information in connection with it, are asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
