Man stabbed in west Belfast attack
A 32-year-old man has been stabbed in west Belfast shortly after 1am this morning.
The man had been walking along the Springfield Road with a male friend when the attack took place.
He was admitted to hospital and is being treated for a number of small puncture wounds to the shoulder, neck and lower back as well as tendon damage to the right wrist.
The man’s friend and a passer-by also sustained minor injuries.
It is known at this time what weapon was used.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who may have information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.
